Founder & CEO 

Mr Swensson, a Swedish national, has more than two decades of experience as an entrepreneur in East Africa, in minerals and security, before he turned his attention to the blue horizon. He calls Kenya home.

Fredrik Gröndahl, PhD

Chief Scientific Officer 

Dr Gröndahl is the former head of The Department of Sustainable Development, Environmental Science and Engineering (SEED) at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Sweden. He is an internationally recognized expert on biomarine food farming and processing.

Jean-Baptiste Thomas, PhD

Chief Product Officer 

Dr Thomas is a researcher at SEED, KTH. His focus is on sustainable cultivation, utilization and product development of seaweed and other low-trophic marine biomass products for a resilient, food secure and low carbon blue bioeconomy.

James G. Kairo, PhD

Scientific adviser

Dr. Kairo is Chief Scientist at KMFRI, Kenya - a national research institute mandated to research and advice the government on wise use of aquatic resources.

He has vast knowledge and working experience on the conservation and sustainable utilization of coastal and marine resources.
